This is my lead aster, the one I seeded in Deng Xiaoping's planter on May 6. It's very marginally ahead of the ones in the aster planter that were seeded on May 14 and spent a lot of time outside, which leads me to question how much time I really gained by starting anything indoors. Though obviously Insanity Plant shows it works.
Anyway, this aster is still not "open". It's supposed to open flat out like a daisy. But I think it's reasonable at this point to expect it to be fully open by tomorrow, meaning it will have taken 90 days from seed to flower. That's not very good performance for an annual in this climate.
